Grief Support Program
We continuously, compassionately care about you.
After the death of a loved one, the support system of Premier Hospice does not end. Our bereavement (grief) counselours are here to help and guide the bereaved through their grief and mourning.
The Grief Support Program at Premier Hospice offers supportive services to grasp the understanding of grief and the grief process, to obtain healthy coping skills, and to express feelings with others who are or have experienced loss.
The Grief Support Program encompasses the following primary objectives:
Our Grief Support Program begins immediately after the death of your loved one and continues for 13 months. There is no cost to participate in the Grief Support Program. Anyone related or unrelated to the patient who is interested in the program can take part.
Recurring telephone calls to offer support through the grief journey.
Individual and/or family grief counseling offered to the bereaved at no cost.
Topics covering end-of-life issues and experiencing loss. No cost; however, registration is necessary.
Hope through Healing, mailings designed to educate about the grief process, present suggestions for coping with loss, and provide support and encouragement through holidays and anniversaries.
